Most of you know that my animals are one of the most important things to me. They are my babies, I would literally die trying to protect them. I spend a lot of time with them, and I try to make my home feel like their home, too. I don't expect them to just live in my house among my things, they have their own special places and toys.
This is my Bambi. She's my adventurous crazy climber. She loves to be chased, and she has her very own custom made (by Kenny) cat tree in the living room. She's the biggest of my girls and she's practically solid muscle. She has broken her tail and her foot, and we have no idea how she managed either. Now her tail is shaped like an 'S.'
This is Kit, Bambis momma. Stephanie and Susan took turns bottle feeding her when she was a baby. Actually, she was older than she seemed, she was just a tiny, undernourished fluff ball. Her momma had probably gotten killed and she was living at my Dad's parents' house. They would toss their table scraps out the back door and that's probably what kept her alive until Stephanie caught her. To this day she is still crazy over bread, I can't leave a loaf out or she gets into it.
When Stephanie decided to move to VA she couldn't find a place that allowed kitties right away. So, I took in this teeny thing and her other cat for a while. I had her in a cat carrier for a day or two and was bottle feeding her, then I decided to give her some hard cat food - she dug right in. I decided to let open the cage and see what she wanted to do. She stayed in it for a while, but one day as I was watching tv on the couch this tiny thing started trying to climb up to me. So I put my hand underneath her and helped her up. I've been hooked since that very moment.
When Stephanie found a place that was animal friendly she said she wanted her Booger back, but that I could keep the baby. That's what we used to call her, the baby. We also call her Turkey (she 💘 turkey), Monkey (because she's always wanting to climb on us and have us hold her), and Kenny. (She comes running every time I call for him.)
She's the best (physical) gift I've ever been given, I don't know what I
would do or would've done without her. Thanks, Stephanie. 💖💖💖
This is my Egypt, she's a shy one. When we first got her we rarely saw her, I don't even have any pictures of her as a kitten. She's not as scared now, but she still runs away when Kenny farts sometimes, seriously. Her hair is so soft, even in the winter when most cats hair gets thicker and courser. Everyone thinks she's a beauty.
She doesn't understand how to play with people and other cats, she always thinks we're trying to be mean, poor thing. I hear her at night running around and being crazy sometimes, though. She's also a fan of Bambis cat tree and she's crazy for catnip. Since she's gotten older she's gotten more bold, she even comes out to greet people when they come over, she's a sucker for lovins. This girl purrs so loud, too! And she does it practically all the time. She is one sweet girl.
