Funny Sounds

I was playing with Kit on the bad one day and we were having lot's of fun.  Well, Kenny came in and started playing with her - she loves to play with him.  I decided to record it and this is what I got.

And this is my little sleeping monkey... snoring.

Even though we love each other very much, sometimes we argue.

I feel that I am an impath, and I don't mean in the magical or psychic sort of way.  Whenever I see or hear someone's strong opinions about something, whether I believe the same or not, it's like it weighs on me.
Of course I have my own feelings about things, strong and passionate ones even.  But, even when someone's views are completely the opposite of mine it's like I can feel their pain and passion.  I have an understanding and appreciation for it that others don't always seem to have.
I think about things much more deeply than others seem to sometimes.  It's like, most people seem to believe this is how it is - black, white or somewhere in the middle.  But for me it's almost like it's all three.  I can see them all as true possibilities and it's very conflicting and exhausting for me.
It's been hard for me in the past to speak up about my own beliefs because I can see where others are coming from and I'm afraid of hurting someone's feelings or having them see me as terrible because we don't agree.  But it's important to be who you are and make up your own mind, and to speak out when you feel the need to.
I want for everyone to be happy, but I can feel their frustrations and fears and I wish I could take them away.  This consumes me so much sometimes that I feel completely drained and barely able to function.  Now I feel like I'm just rambling on to no end, because I could literally go on and on until I absolutely exhaust myself.
I just really wish that I could have a break, but it never goes away.

My Girls

Most of you know that my animals are one of the most important things to me.  They are my babies, I would literally die trying to protect them.  I spend a lot of time with them, and I try to make my home feel like their home, too.  I don't expect them to just live in my house among my things, they have their own special places and toys.
This is my Bambi.  She's my adventurous crazy climber.  She loves to be chased, and she has her very own custom made (by Kenny) cat tree in the living room.  She's the biggest of my girls and she's practically solid muscle.  She has broken her tail and her foot, and we have no idea how she managed either.  Now her tail is shaped like an 'S.'
Once she crawled under a dresser and got stuck and we had to come to her rescue.  We are also clueless about how she managed that.  She is scared of pretty much every person she sees though.  She runs upstairs to hide in my bedroom anytime someone shows up, my little daredevil is a scaredy-cat!  We call her Weezer after Ouiser Boudreaux from Steel Magnolias, because they both crazy and sweet.
This is Kit, Bambis momma.  Stephanie and Susan took turns bottle feeding her when she was a baby.  Actually, she was older than she seemed, she was just a tiny, undernourished fluff ball.  Her momma had probably gotten killed and she was living at my Dad's parents' house.  They would toss their table scraps out the back door and that's probably what kept her alive until Stephanie caught  her.  To this day she is still crazy over bread, I can't leave a loaf out or she gets into it.
When Stephanie decided to move to VA she couldn't find a place that allowed kitties right away.  So, I took in this teeny thing and her other cat for a while. I had her in a cat carrier for a day or two and was bottle feeding her, then I decided to give her some hard cat food - she dug right in.  I decided to let open the cage and see what she wanted to do.  She stayed in it for a while, but one day as I was watching tv on the couch this tiny thing started trying to climb up to me.  So I put my hand underneath her and helped her up.  I've been hooked since that very moment.
When Stephanie found a place that was animal friendly she said she wanted her Booger back, but that I could keep the baby.  That's what we used to call her, the baby.  We also call her Turkey (she 💘 turkey), Monkey (because she's always wanting to climb on us and have us hold her), and Kenny.  (She comes running every time I call for him.)
She's the best (physical) gift I've ever been given, I don't know what I would do or would've done without her.  Thanks, Stephanie. 💖💖💖
This is my Egypt, she's a shy one.  When we first got her we rarely saw her, I don't even have any pictures of her as a kitten.  She's not as scared now, but she still runs away when Kenny farts sometimes, seriously.  Her hair is so soft, even in the winter when most cats hair gets thicker and courser.  Everyone thinks she's a beauty.
She doesn't understand how to play with people and other cats, she always thinks we're trying to be mean, poor thing.  I hear her at night running around and being crazy sometimes, though.  She's also a fan of Bambis cat tree and she's crazy for catnip.  Since she's gotten older she's gotten more bold, she even comes out to greet people when they come over, she's a sucker for lovins.  This girl purrs so loud, too!  And she does it practically all the time.  She is one sweet girl.

I Love The Golden Girls

Every day while I make dinner I watch The Golden Girls.  It's so funny and they all have such great personalities, it never gets old to me.  Here are a few of my favorite scenes.  They're short because I originally recorded them to upload to Vine.  I highly recommend giving the show a watch.

These are all from one of my favorite episodes, when they go on vacation.  They think they are going to a beautiful island resort, but they end up in a dump of a hotel.

And then they end up getting shipwrecked with three young guys they meet after a storm.  Blanche is definitely not happy with the men who were in charge of the boat.

Then the normally dim-witted and quiet Rose takes charge of the situation.

Yes, I am aware that I am a total loser/nerd for doing an entire post about The Golden Girls, but that's just who I am.  And they're some awesome girls!

Here's just a funny scene from a different episode.  Rose waited for a certain guy to ask her to prom, then they day before the event she walked right up to him and said...

That's all for now, but I can't promise there won't be more.

I'm an ID Addict

I am very much into watching tv shows and documentaries about murders.  The things that people do to each other and their reasons for doing them are fascinating to me.  Apparently I'm not the only one, otherwise their wouldn't be about a million different shows about it.  True crimes are the ones that I like the best, but I do love Bones.
Anyway, I was watching an episode on ID (Investigation Discovery) one day and when the picture of the victim came up it was crazy.  I can't remember the girls real name, only that she was a teenager.  It's sad that she was murdered, and luckily they did find her killer.  But what struck me the most was what, and who, she looked like.  So I had to take a picture.
I don't know about you, but the person in this picture looks VERY familiar to me!  I know there's a picture of her with curls, albeit longer, in her hair when she was about 3-4 I think.  I just can't seem to find it.  Maybe someone can help me out there and I'll post it here.
Sorry, Stephanie, I know how you can be about pictures, but you can't deny the resemblance!

West Virginia Sunrise.

I thought you would enjoy this beautiful short video of a West Virginia Sunrise in winter.

Just so you know, I still say B-E-A-UTIFUL in my head every time I type it out.

Funny Animals

I've got a bird feeder right outside of my bedroom window - cat tv.  Well, this little bird has been eating from it in it's own special way for a few years now and I finally caught it on video.  It's a little hard to see, but the bird goes inside the feeder to grab a seed and then flies away.

Here's one of my favorite videos of Bambi (black and white) and Kit waiting for birds to come.
